Andrew Luck Says He’ll Play This Year

This article first appeared on

After throwing to his teammates during practice on Wednesday, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) told reporters that a debut in 2017 is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’. In tempering expectations about a quick return, he went on to say that he has”work to do to get to a level where [he] feel[s] comfortable going out there and whipping every throw.” Despite plenty of rumors surrounding whether Luck would actually play a game this season, it is looking more and more like fantasy owners will be able to start him at some point. With center Ryan Kelly slated to return this week and Luck’s first practice under his belt, Colts’ fans and Luck owners alike should feel optimistic about his overall recovery.
