Carson Wentz Might Not Be Worth a Start in Week 5

This article first appeared on RotoBaller.com

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has a difficult matchup this week and may not be worth starting as long as owners have another option on their roster. After a quick start to the season including back-to-back 300-yard games to open the year, Wentz has been outside of the top-15 quarterbacks in fantasy scoring for Weeks 3 and 4. He draws another tough matchup against the Arizona Cardinals defense, who will likely shut down the Eagles passing game, starting with Alshon Jeffery. While Wentz certainly has a tough matchup, he’s not a guy who should automatically be benched for a streaming QB, but if owners are holding onto a decent backup, this may be the week to roll with someone who isn’t part of the Eagles offense.
