Aaron Jones Role is Uncertain; A Risky Play for Week 5

This article first appeared on RotoBaller.com

Coming off an impressive showing in Week 4 against Chicago, it is unclear what role Aaron Jones will have in Week 5 against a struggling Dallas defense. Jones amassed 49 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown after starting running back Ty Montgomery and backup Jamaal Williams left the game with injuries. The quick and shifty Jones looked much better than Williams and he may have taken the second string spot. Whether he has is relevant as both Montgomery and Williams may be back this week. If Montgomery is active there is no reason to start Jones. If Montgomery is inactive, Jones is a high risk/high reward start who should be viewed as a low-end flex option. We will not know his actual role until the game actually starts so you should avoid putting Jones into your lineup in most circumstances.
