Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard Suffer Injuries Against Chargers

This article first appeared on

New York Giants wide receivers Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Sterling Shepard (ankle) left the game early in Week 5 against the Chargers with injuries. Both wideouts suffered left ankle ailments. Marshall was taken on a cart to the locker room, while Shepard remained on the sidelines. Obviously Marshall’s injury seems more serious, but we won’t know the extent of these injuries until later. If both Marshall and Shepard need to miss time, it’d be great news for rookie tight end Evan Engram and Odell Beckham Jr. Receivers Roger Lewis and Dwayne Harris would also see their roles increase in the passing game.
