Bilal Powell’s Injury Not Serious
New York Jets running back Bilal Powell went down with a calf injury near the end of the first half of the team’s 17-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Thankfully, the injury doesn’t seem serious as Powell is day-to-day with a strained calf. It wasn’t the best of games for Powell against Cleveland’s tough rush defense; he managed only five yards on two carries while adding another 28 yards on four catches (on five targets). This outing was particularly unfortunate as fantasy owners had confidently fired him up as a RB2 after his Week Four breakout with fellow running back Matt Forte out with turf toe. For now, consider Powell questionable for Sunday’s showdown with the New England Patriots.
