Le’Veon Bell Wants To See Steelers Run More

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell wants to see the team commit more to the running game following their 30-9 Week 5 loss to the Jaguars. Bell saw 15 carries for 47 yards in the loss, with 10 of his attempts going for two yards or less, including three for a loss. The previous week, Bell saw a whopping 35 carries and churned out 144 yards. “I feel we’re a good enough team to wear guys out whether they know we’re running the ball or not,” Bell said. Making matters worse, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tossed five interceptions against Jacksonville. Bell has only carried the ball 20 or more times in a game twice this year in five weeks, although Pittsburgh seemed to be easing him in the first few weeks after a lengthy contract holdout. Pittsburgh’s offense should be fine, and Bell should see a hefty workload in Week 6 against the Chiefs. He remains an elite RB1 option.
