Michael Floyd Activated Following Suspension

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd has been activated to the 53-man roster following his suspension, and running back Stevan Ridley was released in a corresponding move. Floyd signed with Minnesota as a free agent in the offseason. He was unable to make an impact after landing in New England last year, catching only four passes for 42 yards in two games, and he was a non-factor for the Patriots’ Super Bowl run. There’s opportunity with Minnesota, but he’ll have to fight for playing time with Laquon Treadwell and Jarius Wright behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. There’s no guarantee that Floyd will be able to carve out a role in this passing game. He’s one to watch, but he can be left on the waiver wire for now.
