Dalvin Cook Has Successful Surgery
Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook had successful surgery on his torn ACL Monday, according to a source. Cook will be “100 percent” ready to return at the start of next season. Cook had been one of the most impressive rookie players through four weeks of the season, running 74 times for 354 yards (4.8 YPC) and two touchdowns. Losing him for the year was an unfortunate blow, but there’s no reason to believe he won’t be just as productive in 2018, and he should be drafted as an upside RB1. It looks like Jerick McKinnon and Latavius Murray will share the backfield the rest of the season, with McKinnon the far more attractive option in both the run and passing game.
