Mitch Trubisky Flashes Potential
Mitch Trubisky showed off some of his potential but also his inexperience in an up and down performance on Monday night football. Trubisky completed only 12-of-25 passes for 128 yards, one touchdown and one interception as the Bears fell to the Vikings 20-17. Bears coaches after the game talked about how impressed they were with Trubisky’s “presence” in the huddle and certainly gave Bears fans some hope. Trubisky began the game 6-of-7 and made some impressive completions but were called back due to penalties. Trubisky was also blindsided for a strip-sack fumble and the offense appeared to be out of sync most of the game. The Bears had an opportunity to drive down the field with less than two minutes to play but Trubisky was intercepted by Harrison Smith on an impressive break on the ball. Trubisky’s talent and inexperience were on full display in his first game and should improve as the weeks move on. He is not fantasy viable as the Bears iron out the wrinkles on offense.
