Sterling Shepard In Walking Boot
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (ankle) is in a walking boot after spraining his left ankle in Week 5, and he said the sprain is similar to the one he suffered in training camp. He’s taking his situation day-to-day. That’s bad news for Shepard’s Week 6 availability, as his injury in camp cost him several weeks. With both Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) out for the year, it looks like Roger Lewis and tight end Evan Engram will be Eli Manning‘s top receiving options against the No Fly Zone. It’s hard to make a case to start any of New York’s options against Denver’s top-notch defense on the road.
