LeGarrette Blount Faces a Tough Matchup in Week 6

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeGarrette Blount has a tough matchup on deck for Week 6. He and his teammates will take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. The Panthers have not allowed a running back to go over 60 yards this season. Aside from a huge 37-yard run last week, Blount was not all that effective, and he ceded snaps to rookie Corey Clement. While Blount was expected to take on more of a featured role with Wendell Smallwood (knee) out, Clement was in there in Blount’s place fairly often. While he doesn’t necessarily need to be benched, Blount should be looked at as a lower-end Flex option this week, not as an RB2.
