Samaje Perine Figures To Lead Redskins Week 6 Backfield

This article first appeared on RotoBaller.com

Washington Redskins running back Samaje Perine should receive the bulk of the carries for Washington in Week 6 with Rob Kelley looking like he’ll be inactive for at least one week with an ankle injury. Perine has gotten plenty of opportunities, but has lumbered for a 2.9 yards per carry clip to this point. Still, with the 49ers playing their third straight road game and coming off consecutive overtime contests, the rookie should be set up for success. Another name to watch is Mack Brown who could also handle some early down duties and has flashed well in short samples. Chris Thompson will maintain his role on passing downs, but the Skins have been reluctant to expand his workload.
