Ty Montgomery Fine After Taking Hits in Practice

Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery told reporters that he felt fine after taking some hits in practice Thursday. This is a hopeful sign that he may be able to play this Sunday against Minnesota. Montgomery broke several ribs in Week 4, and although his motion is not limited, there are concerns that he may cause further damage by playing. Green Bay is likely to be cautious about his return on account of the emergence of Aaron Jones. Montgomery’s stock has taken a fall between the injury and new backfield competition, but he is still a valuable fantasy running back who should be viewed as low-end RB2/high-end flex if he plays. Once he is fully reintegrated back into the offense, his production should increase further.
