Derek Carr A Low-End QB1 Play in Week 6 Return

This article first appeared on RotoBaller.com

After injuring his lower back in Week 4, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr appears ready to play once again after only missing one week. Carr’s injury was similar to injuries sustained by both Tony Romo and Cam Newton, both of whom also missed only one week, so re-injury or rushing back from injury is not a major concern. The Chargers have been a disaster so far this season, but so has the Raiders offense the past three weeks, and going up against a highly underrated defense, it is unlikely they return fully to form. Regardless, Philip Rivers‘ penchant for throwing interceptions should put Carr and the Raiders in great field position, leaving Carr to put up back-end QB1 numbers.
