Will Tye Joins Pats Practice Squad

The New England Patriots announced the addition of tight end Will Tye to the practice squad. Tye has been semi-consistent throughout his tenure in the league, catching 90 passes for 859 yards and four touchdowns over two seasons with the Giants. Though he was released by the team just before the start of the season, he would remain in New York, signing with the Jets. While with the team, Tye underwhelmed, catching a meager four passes for six yards in only three games. The signing of Tye is coming after tight end Dwayne Allen played miserably against the Bucs while Rob Gronkowski sat out with a thigh injury. Whether the move was made to put pressure on Allen, or if the team is looking to get some inside information on the Jets is unknown. One things is certain, he has very little, if any, fantasy value at the moment.
