Marshawn Lynch Suspended One Game, Will Appeal

This article first appeared on

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended one game by the NFL for his role in an on-field fracas Thursday night against the Chiefs in which he made contact with and pushed an official. He will appeal the suspension, and a hearing is expected to take place early next week, according to a source. The good news is we should know whether Lynch will be able to play in Week 8 or not by early next week. Lynch has been a big fantasy disappointment and essentially is a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex. Plan to be without him next week against the Bills. That’ll make Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington waiver wire options for the running back-needy. Neither will be more than a desperation flex option if Lynch’s suspension holds up, but Richard has a little more appeal in PPR setups.
