Jets Sticking with Josh McCown At QB

This article first appeared on

There was never any quarterback controversy here, but New York Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles made it clear: the team is sticking with Josh McCown at quarterback following their 15-10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. McCown has been solid all season long, and had his first truly bad game in awhile in what was one of the more boring football games you could ever watch. The team likely isn’t going anywhere, but at 4-6, they aren’t out of it, and the options behind McCown (Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty) are laughable. McCown has a tough matchup in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers following the Jets’ Week 11 bye, but he’ll remain a back-end QB2.
