I’ll admit it: I cooled off a bit this week. But if you happened to check out my blog for my bonus pick of the week, you would have put in Robert Woods in your lineup. Just a reminder that I do one or two bonus picks over at fancavelive.com, so make sure to check it out. Anyway, there are some great matchups this week that need to exploited, so let’s get to it.

Stacks that I like this week
Alex Smith and Tyreek Hill
The Giants can’t help but give up big plays; it’s honestly getting pretty ridiculous. Last week, Marquis Goodwin burned this defense and two weeks ago both Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods scored on 50+ yd touchdowns. This is a matchup made in heaven for one of the most explosive receivers in the league.
Derek Carr and Michael Crabtree
While the Pats pass defense hasn’t been as horrific as they were in the beginning of the year, it still needs a lot of work. Crabtree has quietly put in some serious work this year and will continue to go on his low-key tear against the Patriots. I love the potential for a high scoring game-flow.
With David Amerson expected to miss this game with a foot injury, Cooks should take advantage of the slower corners that he is bound to face on Sunday. While Khalil Mack may not give Brady a ton of time to throw the ball, all Cooks needs is one big play to return value.
QB’s that I like
Saying that the Seahawks defense is depleted is an understatement. They have lost Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor for the year. I expect the Falcons to do lots of damage.
Projection: 270 yd 2td
Carson Wentz
No Sean Lee means more time for Wentz to show off his MVP-worthy arm. He will have a field day this weekend.
Projection: 290yd 3td
RB’s that I like
I understand the concerns around Gordon. Eckler just had a great game and, to be honest, he may be more talented. It’s just that he can’t handle Gordon’s workload. Gordon will get a ton of work this week against a subpar Bills defense. This will be a low-scoring game with a lot of running on both sides.
Projection: 100yd 1td
Kenyan Drake
Drake has established himself as the Dolphins lead back. He will see a ton of volume versus a defense that has struggled against the run and has allowed a good chunk of receiving yards to backs.
WR’s that I like
Mohamed Sanu
With most of the focus obviously slanted toward Jones, look for Sanu to capitalize versus the subpar Seattle defense.
Projection: 8 Rec 88yd
DeVante Parker
Parker has been consistently good when he’s on the field. Guess what? He’s actually playing this week! He goes up against a Vernon-Hargreaves-less defense. He will get a lot of opportunities to shine this week.
6 rec 101 yd
TE’s that I like
Unfortunately, this week is a week where spending good money on a TE is necessary.
Rob Gronkowski
Normally I wouldn’t put Gronk in my projections because… well… he’s Gronk. This week is a little bit different, as there’s potential for his biggest output of the season.
Projection: call me crazy but 107yd 2td
Zach Ertz
This game is bound to be a shootout. Two great offensive teams face off against two mediocre defensive ones. Ertz is healthy this week and will single-handedly destroy Philly’s division rivals this week.
Projection: 98yd 1td
DST’s that I like
Texans
Blaine Gabbert is starting at QB this week for the Cardinals. He will give the Texans plenty of opportunities to make plays on the ball.
Projection: 12pts
Jaguars
They’re playing the Browns.
Projection 13pts
Good luck this week!
