Although it took almost two and a half months to occur, there are no more undefeated teams left in the NFL. This is thanks to two players by the names of Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas, both of whom I recommended last week in my new, “must-start of the week” picks. Now on to this week’s best DraftKings picks.
Must-Start of the Week: Melvin Gordon ($9,000)
Imagine this: You are lying on the beach in a beautiful resort in the Bahamas, a man comes along with your favorite martini and you have no obligations whatsoever. Take that precious feeling and insert it into Melvin Gordon’s matchup. Oakland has been atrocious versus the run this year and with Gordon looking healthy again, he is my must-start of the week. Kareem Hunt is also a must-start this week as his matchup this week is somehow even better.

Stack of the Week: Marcus Mariota ($4,700) and Corey Davis ($4,500)
Let me preface this by saying that this stack is extremely risky and while it could pay off big time, it will most likely flop. If you are willing to take the risk and here me out then this might be a great stack come Sunday. Mariota is coming off of arguably his best game of the season, posting a solid 22.80 fantasy points while Corey Davis is coming off of a solid 6 for 56 outing. If the Titans want to have any chance in this game, they are going to need to throw the ball a lot, especially in the second half. Although not efficient with his targets due to Mariota’s inaccuracy, Davis has the upside to take the abundance of targets that he has been receiving and stick it to the Pats this week. All of that being said, New England boasts the 26th best passing defense in the league, which obviously makes for an explosive matchup.
Safer Stack: Andy Dalton ($5,800) and Tyler Boyd ($7,500)
Even with A.J. Green out, Andy Dalton has too good of a matchup to be ignored. Let’s face it: The Saints are going to put up a lot of points in this one and Dalton is going to need to sling the ball a ton in this contest. Tyler Boyd is bound to receive double-digit targets against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. The matchup is too good to fade.
Mitch Trubisky ($5,600)
Mitch Trubisky has been on fire as of late thanks to the terrific play of Tarik Cohen and more recently Jordan Howard. Teams have been forced to respect the Bears’ running game a lot more this year, which leads to softer passing coverage. The Lions are going to have their hands full this week with Chicago and look for Trubisky to be the main beneficiary of this porous Lions defense.
Duke Johnson ($4,700)
It only took Duke Johnson one game to prove himself once the Browns coaching staff remembered that he is still alive. He gets the matchup of his dreams this week versus a putrid Atlanta pass defense, especially versus running backs. Look for Duke to pick up right where he left off.
Josh Gordon ($6,000)
After having two 100-yard games in his last three outings, Josh Gordon is primed for another huge game versus this weak Tennessee secondary. With Rob Gronkowski likely out and Gordon fully healthy, look for him to annihilate this secondary on Sunday.
Austin Hooper ($3,800)
Austin Hooper has been ridiculously efficient with his targets, posting an absurd 82.8 percent catch rate thus far. He gets a soft matchup this week versus the Browns who have allowed 58 receptions and 6 touchdowns to the tight end position.
Jets ($3,400)
Despite how painful this is to me, the defense of the week should honestly just turn into whatever defense is playing the Bills. The Bears destroyed Nathan Peterman and company last week and expect the Jets to do the same regardless of who is the play-caller this week.
