Jacoby Brissett had nine-straight QB1 fantasy finishes before last week’s untimely bust, but if you survived it, he’s in line for a bounce-bacl against Cincy, who have yielded the second-most touchdown passes in 2025 … With multiple passing touchdowns in five straight games, a career-high, and finishing as the top-scoring fantasy QB in each of the last two weeks, it’s hard not to get excited for Trevor Lawrence against the Colts, who have allowed the second-most passing yards on the year.

🥶 Bust vibes

The 39.5 projected point total for the Texans-Chargers game is one of the lowest this weekend, and given that these two teams are the toughest matchups for QBs based on FPPG this season, this makes sense. So don’t expect much from C.J. Stroud or Justin Herbert.

Meanwhile, the Colts secondary has floundered down the stretch, and now have allowed the second most receiving yards on the season. … D.J. Moore has topped 21.9 PPR points in each of the last two games, and with Rome Odzue still out, more should be coming.

Khalil Shakir has failed to hit double-digit fantasy points nine times over his last 11 games, and has a brutal matchup with Philly and shutdown CB Cooper DeJean. … As a Ladd McConkey owner, I know how frustrating he’s been this season. He came through in a very favorable matchup with Dallas last week, but expect the opposite against the stout Texans.

Harold Fanin has a 31 percent target share since Week 12, which just happened to be when Shedeur Sanders took over behind center. Fanin has has hit double-digit fantasy points in each of his last four games and gets one of the best fantasy matchups for TEs this week in the Steelers — if he suits up, that is (Questionable). … The Bucs have yielded the second most FPPG to TEs since Week 11, and the most TDs since Week 12. With Darren Waller a consistent red-zone threat, and the recipient of the most targets from Quinn Ewers last week outside of Jaylen Waddle, this could be a big one for those brave enough to start him in a title game.

Dalton Kincaid has failed to return to his “pre-injury” production because he’s actually not fully healthy. Getting the worst fantasy matchup for his position this week is not going to help. … Despite being red-hot over his last three games, scoring at least 12.2 PPR points in each, Dallas Goedert faces one of the toughest matchups for TEs. The Bills have only let a TE hit paydirt three times all season.

The key players I highlighted in Tuesday’s Week 16 Waiver Wire post. You can still check if these guys are available, but if you want this delivered to your inbox each Tuesday before your waiver deadline, make sure you’re subscribed.

Patrick Mahomes (ACL) is out for the season, while Davante Adams (hamstring) could miss a crucial Thursday night game. Several running backs are also banged up — including RJ Harvey, Woody Marks, Zonovan Knight, and Devin Neal — with Knight likely out this week. At wide receiver, Christian Watson (chest) is in danger of missing Saturday’s matchup in Chicago.

With championships on the line, the waiver wire once again becomes a survival tool rather than a luxury. Below are the top players to target ahead of Week 16 — plus FAAB recommendations and matchup context for each position.

J.J. McCarthy (MIN) — Streamer

McCarthy has quietly become one of the more reliable fantasy streamers over the past two weeks, producing six total touchdowns and finishing as a top-10 QB in back-to-back games against Washington and Dallas. After a rough midseason stretch, he’s finally benefiting from soft matchups — and that trend continues against the Giants, who remain one of the league’s most generous defenses to opposing quarterbacks. With confidence growing and his rushing ability providing a stable floor, McCarthy is a strong QB2 streamer in championship week. FAAB: 1–2%

Running backs to add in Week 16

Michael Carter (ARI) — Top priority

After Bam Knight was carted off with an ankle injury, Carter immediately took over Arizona’s backfield and handled true bell-cow volume. He finished with 18 touches for 94 yards, out-snapping Emari Demercado 53–7, even in a negative game script against Houston’s elite defense. With Trey Benson on season-ending IR and Knight likely out in Week 16, Carter profiles as one of the rare plug-and-play RB options available this late in the year. Matchups against Atlanta and Cincinnati only add to the appeal.

Blake Corum (LAR) — Top priority

40% owned

Corum continues to deliver fantasy starter production despite technically being Kyren Williams’ backup. He’s rushed for 70+ yards and a touchdown in three straight games, averaging 17.8 fantasy points over that stretch. The Rams may lean even more heavily on their running game with Davante Adams sidelined, and Corum’s double-digit carry totals make him a viable RB3/Flex even in a tough matchup against Seattle. While his ceiling is matchup-dependent, the volume and touchdown equity are real.

FAAB: 10–12%

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (WAS) — Streamer

48% owned

With Chris Rodriguez Jr. sidelined by a groin injury, Croskey-Merritt stepped into the lead role and delivered 18 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown. While the Eagles present a tougher matchup, Washington may continue evaluating the rookie during a lost season. If Rodriguez is ruled out again, Croskey-Merritt becomes a viable RB3/Flex with upside based on sheer workload.

FAAB: 5–8%

Wide receivers to add in Week 16

Jayden Reed (GB) — Top Priority

With Christian Watson dealing with a chest injury and Green Bay likely to be cautious, Reed once again tops the waiver list at WR. Even with Watson active recently, Reed has produced 108 scrimmage yards over two games, reminding managers of his ceiling. As a rookie, Reed finished WR23 with 10 touchdowns despite limited snaps, and in 2024, he was a WR1/2 through nine weeks before usage dipped. If Watson sits, Reed immediately profiles as a WR3/Flex with top-20 upside. FAAB: 10–12%

Luther Burden III (CHI) — Streamer

17% owned

Burden’s status hinges on his ankle, but when healthy, he’s been Chicago’s most reliable target with Rome Odunze sidelined. He’s led or tied for the team lead in targets in three straight games and averaged 12.7 fantasy points over his last two. If Odunze remains out — or limited — Burden is a strong WR3/Flex against a Packers defense that’s struggling to contain opposing receivers. FAAB: 8–10%

Tight ends to add in Week 16

Colby Parkinson (LAR) — Streamer

Parkinson is one of the hottest players in fantasy football, scoring six touchdowns in his last six games and ranking as the TE4 in points per game since Week 10. He just posted a season-best 5/75/2 line and now faces his former team on Thursday night. Seattle has struggled against tight ends, and with Adams potentially sidelined, Parkinson could again see heavy red-zone usage.

Bills (BUF) — Streamer

Savvy managers have already stashed the Bills, Chiefs, or Niners for this week. Buffalo draws Cleveland, whose implied team total (16) is one of the lowest of the week. The Browns’ quarterback issues are compounded by offensive line injuries, and the Bills have quietly forced an interception in seven of eight games since their Week 7 bye. While not elite week-to-week, this matchup gives Buffalo both floor and upside in a critical playoff week. FAAB: 1–2%

Kickers to add in Week 16

Eddy Pineiro (SF) — Streamer

He’s now a perfect 25-for-25 on field goals this season and averages 10.6 fantasy points per game. An indoor matchup against Indianapolis only strengthens his profile as the top widely available kicker this week. FAAB: 1–2%

Everybody and their auntie loves Brock Purdy this week (which means he’ll probably bust), but there are good reasons why. The Niners have a 28.5-point implied team total from Vegas, second-highest in Week 15, and while Purdy’s matchup didn’t make the chart above, the Titans have allowed the third-most FPPG to QBs since Week 7 (23.6), with six of those seven QBs scoring at least 21.7 fantasy points. … No Jayden Daniels this week, which is probably for the best, as it’s tough to sit a player like that in the playoffs even when all signs point to bad news, as they did last week. Anyway, interesting stat on Marcus Mariota: against man-coverage, as he has against the Giants, his deep-throw rate jumps to 16.4% (5th highest).

If Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can’t break double-digit fantasy points against the Texans, then I’m not betting on Jacoby Brissett to, no matter how surprisingly well he’s performed all season. He’ll be down a starting left tackle to boot.

Coming off 26 carries in Week 14, Woody Marks is set up to eat a ton in a very favorable matchup and with an expected favorable game script, with the Texans 9.5-point favorites. When Houston leads, they tend to lean on the run, as Marks’ FP/snap climbs 64% in these situations. … From Week 9 onward, Travis Etienne has the 7th most fantasy points, and has six TDs over his past five games. Only the Giants have allowed more fantasy points per game since Week 9 than the Jets, who have yielded the most rushing TDs during that span (9).

I’ve had a bad feeling about Breece Hall since he wasn’t traded before the deadline. He’s been feast or famine overall, scoring single digits in six games this year, with three of those performances coming over the past five weeks. I’m not expecting much at all in a tough matchup with the Jags. … Aaron Jones hasn’t hit paydirt since Week 10, and hasn’t topped 8.7 FPs in PPR in three-straight.

Terry McLaurin has settled back into playing football nicely, and with Mariota behind center, he is no worse for wear. In fact, he fed him 14 targets in Week 13’s tough matchup with Denver and Patrick Surtain, and McLaurin scored the only TD that Surtain has allowed this season. Plus, Deebo Samuel is ill and questionable to suit up. … Chris Olave was WR6 in Week 10, the last time he matched up with the Panthers (5 rec., 104 yards, 1 TD). … Justin Jefferson runs 80 percent of his routes on the outside, and Dallas allows the most yards and TDs of any team to out-wide WRs.

I expected Zay Flowers to do well given last week’s matchup, though he still only has one touchdown this season, and none since Week 1. He's got a tough individual matchup with the Bengals’ DJ Turner this week, one that yielded only two receptions for six yards the last time they met this year. Plus, the Bengals have kept all receivers to single-digit fantasy points (PPR) over the last four games. … Rome Odzune might sit again, which is good news for Luther Burden owners. The bad news is the Browns have yielded the second-fewest yards to receivers since Week 10, and Burden’s numbers are better against the zone than man-coverage, which puts him at a further disadvantage against Cleveland.

Any TE facing the Bengals has stud potential. The problem with the Ravens is that they have two TEs worth starting this week. Isaiah Likely has edged out Mark Andrews over the past three games in targets (by one) and had five catches for 95 yards against them earlier this season. … Dalton Kincaid is healthy again, and when he has been fit, he’s performed, with a minimum of 14.1 PPR points in five of those nine games. He also caught all six of his targets for 108 yards the last time he faced the Pats.

He’s not a lock in 1-QB leagues, but the projected Week 15 shootout gives him legitimate streaming appeal in deeper formats. FAAB: 1%

He has led the Rams in rushing for two straight weeks and outpaced Kyren Williams in red-zone carries (3 to 2) last Sunday. While matchups vs. Detroit and Seattle are tougher, the rookie has produced 131 yards and two TDs most recently and now profiles as a weekly RB3/Flex with contingent RB1 upside if Williams misses time. Knight continues to operate as Arizona’s most reliable fantasy back with Trey Benson likely done for the season. He entered Week 14 having scored in three straight games, finishing as a top-20 RB in each. He remains the goal-line option and has caught 3+ passes in every game over the past month. The Week 15 matchup vs. Houston is tough, but Weeks 16–17 (ATL, CIN) are smash spots. Knight is a volume-based RB3 with RB2 upside while Benson remains sidelined. FAAB: 5–8%

Luther Burden III (CHI) — Top priority

With Rome Odunze out, Burden led the Bears in targets (6), receptions (4), and yards (67) in Week 14. He also logged a 21% target share and nearly 70% route participation. While his ceiling is capped until Odunze returns, Burden is clearly Chicago’s most dynamic receiving option and can be treated as a WR3/Flex while Odunze is sidelined — and a WR4/Flex thereafter. FAAB: 8–10%

Jayden Reed (GB) — Top Priority

Reed looked sharp in his return from IR, reclaiming his role as Green Bay’s top slot weapon. He earned a 17% target share, catching all four passes and adding two designed runs for 22 yards. He’ll be limited to slot work — running a route on just 65% of dropbacks this week — but his efficiency and playmaking make him an enticing WR4 with WR3/Flex upside. Reed’s usage could grow over the next two weeks, even with a tough matchup against Denver looming. FAAB: 10–12%

Ryan Flournoy (DAL) — Streamer/Stash

Flournoy erupted after CeeDee Lamb left Week 14 with a concussion, leading the team with nine receptions, 115 yards, and a touchdown on 13 targets — all career highs. If Lamb is ruled out for Week 15, Flournoy becomes a strong WR4/Flex play attached to Dak Prescott in a high-volume passing offense. If Lamb returns, Flournoy becomes a volatile depth stash with splash-play upside. FAAB: 5–8%

Miami allows the third most rushing yards to opposing QBs, and is allowing nearly 20 FPPG to the position. … In the sleeper category, we have Tyler Shough, who has had a steady floor of late, topping 17 points in 2 of 3. The matchup with TB could elevate his output, as no team has allowed more FPPG since Week 9 to QBs.

You’d be a brave one to sit Patrick Mahomes this week, but know that the Texans are the stingiest defense for fantasy QBs to face, and held Josh Allen to just over 10 fantasy points two weeks ago. … Justin Herbert hasn’t topped 16.8 fantasy points for three straight games, and is likely playing despite just having hand surgery on Monday. The Eagles have shut down some good QBs over the last four games as well, including holding Love and Jared Goff to 14 points or less. … Caleb Williams has fallen under 11 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Plus, Rome Odunze has been ruled out.

This bodes well for Aaron Jones, who will start for the Vikings despite leaving Week 13 with an injury. … Chase Brown is on fire, topping 15 fantasy points in five-straight. He also saw seven targets from Joe Burrow in his return last week and has been a dual threat most of this season. He should exploit his tasty matchup with the Bills. … Quinshon Judkins is on a mini roll of late, topping 15.9 fantasy points (PPR) in each of his last two, and has a plus matchup with the Titans. If Dylan Sampson (Q) sits, his usage will get an extra boost.

Over their past three games, the Chiefs have yielded just 90.3 total yards from scrimmage to opposing RBs, and only 16.5 FPPG on the season. Woody Marks is in for a slog. … The Raiders are only projected to score 16.5 by bookmakers this week. Meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty’s floor has been held up thanks to his use in the passing game, but the Broncos allow the 2nd fewest targets to opposing backs, and the 5th fewest FPPG to the position since Week 8. … Tony Pollard hasn’t topped 10 fantasy points in any of his last seven games, and Tyjae Spears’s return has eaten into his usage. Don’t expect much in a tough matchup with Cleveland.

Meanwhile, the trade deadline’s other big mover, Jakobi Meyers, has hit paydirt in each of the last two games. … Zay Flowers only has one touchdown this year, and it was in Week 1. But he’s matching up with CB Asante Samuel, who, by far, allows the most FPs per route run (0.79). … With Marvin Harrison Jr. out again, Michael Wilson gets another week to shine, as he’s averaged 27.7 PPR in two games minus Harrison and a 32 percent target share.

Even though A.J. Brown is highlighted in the chart above, he’s pushed DeVonta Smith to the back burner over the last few weeks, as Smith hasn’t topped 8.9 fantasy points once over the last three. He also gets the toucher secondary matchup against CB Tarheeb Still, who’s allowed just 0.22 FPs per route. … Xavier Worthy has put together a few decent PPR performances the last two weeks, against two of the most generous opposing defenses for WRs, but the Texans have allowed the third fewest total fantasy points and catches to WRs on the season. … You won’t find me calling for Ja’Marr Chase to bust with your playoff spot on the line, but “Chase has one of the more underrated, difficult matchups in the NFL,” writes Fantasy Points’ Joe Dolan, against CB Christian Benford. He’s shut down the likes of Nico Collins, Tetairoa McMillan, Drake London, and Chris Olave this season. Plus, Tee Higgins is back.

He has quietly and surprisingly been one of the better streaming QBs this season, finishing as QB8, QB15, and QB5 in his three starts. In Week 13, he posted 23.3 fantasy points, powered by 44 rushing yards and a touchdown. He now gets a Miami defense allowing the 7th-most fantasy points to QBs, with three of the last four passers scoring at least 21.4 against them. FAAB: 1–3%

Chris Rodriguez (WAS) — Top priority

Rodriguez has emerged as the clear leader of Washington’s backfield, out-carrying Jacory Croskey-Merritt 26 to 13 over the past two weeks and dominating goal-line work (4–2 over the past month). He has now delivered four straight usable fantasy outings, including 41 yards and a touchdown against Denver. While he won’t singlehandedly win you a league, he profiles as an RB3/flex with spike-week potential — especially with Jayden Daniels potentially back to improve overall offensive efficiency. Bam Knight (ARI) — Streamer

I don’t blame you if you want to completely avoid this mess of a backfield down the stretch, but know that Knight has scored double-digit fantasy points in three straight games and is coming off a season-best 98 total yards and a receiving touchdown. He’s played 40%+ snaps every week since Week 6 and has caught 3+ passes in three straight. Knight stays in the RB3 mix with RB2 upside if Benson remains out. FAAB: 5–8%

He has 25 targets across his first three games in New York and is rapidly becoming Tyrod Taylor’s top option, especially with Garrett Wilson banged up. Jayden Higgins (HOU) — Streamer

Higgins has been one of Houston’s most consistent weapons, posting at least 55 yards or a TD in five of his last six games and ranking as the WR36 over that stretch. While he still plays only around 60% of snaps due to rookie inconsistencies, that also means his role has room to grow. With defenses keying on Nico Collins, Higgins has carved out steady WR4/Flex value with upside for more. FAAB: 5–8%

Isaac TeSlaa (DET) — Streamer/Stash

TeSlaa played 92% of snaps when Amon-Ra St. Brown exited with an ankle injury and turned the opportunity into 35 yards and a touchdown. If St. Brown misses Thursday’s high-total matchup vs. Dallas (53.5 points), TeSlaa becomes an instant flex option. Detroit traded up to draft him for a reason — he’s a raw but elite contested-catch specialist with a nose for the end zone. FAAB: 5%
