Mid-week(ish) update: Initial Week 8 player rankings and new rest of season rankings

Hey friends, a few updates!
I’ve been thinking about adding ROS, or rest of season, rankings for awhile and after getting a few questions about if I preferred Jaxson Dart or Justin Fields for the rest of 2025 (Dart, incase you’re wondering), I decided to go ahead and create them. Check them out here, they’ll update one per week.
I decided to remove point projections and matchup ratings from the weekly rankings. For one, the point projections, which are generated by Fantasy Pros, aren’t exactly point projections. It’s a number they assign to whoever is ranked in a particular spot. For instance, the top quarterback will always get a 23.6 projection, the second 23.1, and so on, no matter the player or matchup. It’s a somewhat helpful marker, but misleading.
Since adding the DFS projections tool, which includes more thoughtful point projections provided by Daily Fantasy Fuel, it made sense to stick with those. So if you’re looking for a point projection, go to the DFS projections tool moving forward. And for matchups, I also have added another new chart which has the latest FPA, or how many fantasy points a defense allows, on average, to a position. This will update once per week as well.
